Plan an Awareness Campaign with Shareable Photo Frames
Create an awareness frame with a clear message, accessible invitation, useful next step, and realistic participation measurement.
An awareness photo frame lets supporters display a common message around their own portrait. The frame should make the cause recognizable, while the accompanying invitation explains where people can learn more or take action.
Real organizations use this format: Little Hearts Matter's awareness frame page walks supporters through choosing a photo, downloading the result, and uploading it to social media. That is an example of the format in practice, not a Framvo customer claim.
Start with the action beyond the frame#
Decide what a person should do after seeing the image. You might want readers to visit an information page, register for a community event, or learn about volunteering. Choose one primary destination for the invitation.
A frame can introduce the message, but a tiny profile image cannot explain the full issue. Put factual information on an appropriate page that your organization can maintain. Avoid squeezing detailed claims or statistics into the border.
For a fictional community accessibility week, the frame could say “Access for Everyone,” while the campaign description points to the event's accessibility information and participation details.
Make participation comfortable#
Do not make a personal story or diagnosis a condition of using the frame. Some supporters may want to share a portrait and a short message without disclosing why the cause matters to them.
Offer clear instructions and identify the organizer. If you use a ribbon, symbol, or color associated with the cause, pair it with readable wording so the meaning does not rely on color alone. Test the text against different portrait backgrounds.
Prepare a large transparent opening for the photo. A narrow border with short wording is usually easier to use than dense artwork that overlaps the face. Use approved logos and a preview portrait you have permission to publish.
Build the campaign in Framvo#
- Prepare a transparent PNG frame under 5 MB with at least 5% transparency.
- Sign in and create a Frame campaign.
- Add a representative preview photo, title, and explanation of the campaign.
- Publish, then test the link with a second photo on a phone.
- Give supporters a short invitation with the campaign URL and your information-page URL.
Supporters can use the browser version without creating an account. If you provide app instructions too, distinguish Save image in the app from a browser download. See Framvo on web and mobile.
Make the invitation usable without the image#
Write the essential message as text in your announcement. Describe the frame briefly, for example: “A dark blue border with Access for Everyone along the bottom.” This helps someone understand what is being offered before they choose a photo.
An example invitation:
Show your support for [campaign]. Open [frame link], choose your photo, adjust it, and save the result. You can share it with a message of your own. Learn about the campaign and ways to participate: [information link].
Keep the action optional and give people a direct path to the useful information even if they do not want to change their picture.
Measure visibility and outcomes separately#
Record support actions at agreed checkpoints, along with where you distributed the invitation. Measure registrations, information-page visits, or volunteering in the systems where those actions occur.
A frame download is not proof of a donation, a social share, or a unique participant. The support count guide explains that limitation. For a broader preparation process, use the organizer launch checklist.
