Frame vs. Background: Which to Choose
Before you create a campaign, you need to choose the formatting style that best fits your goals. Framvo currently offers two distinct campaign types: Frames and Backgrounds.
Frame Campaigns
A Frame campaign uses a transparent image overlay. When a supporter joins your campaign, their uploaded photo is placed behind your design.
Technical Requirements:
- File Type: Must be a
PNGfile. - Transparency: Requires at least 5% transparent area (so the user’s photo can be seen through it).
- Max File Size: 5MB.
- Aspect Ratio: Square images are recommended for standard profile pictures, but any size is accepted.
Best Use Cases:
- Profile picture badges (e.g., “I Voted”, “Proud Supporter”).
- Decorative borders for holidays or special events.
- Transparent watermark logos.
Background Campaigns
A Background campaign uses a solid image. When a supporter joins your campaign, their uploaded photo is placed on top of your design.
Technical Requirements:
- File Types: Accepts
PNG,JPG,JPEG, orWEBP. - Transparency: No transparency is required (it acts as a solid canvas).
- Max File Size: 5MB.
- Aspect Ratio: Any size is accepted.
Best Use Cases:
- Themed backdrops for virtual events.
- Step-and-repeat style press banners.
- Creative collages where the supporter is dropped into a fun environment.
