QR Codes and Named Links
Create a campaign QR code and named distribution links, and compare visits from each channel in your report.
Named links help you see which channel brought people to your campaign. A QR code makes the same link easy to open from a poster, flyer or slide.
Create a named link#
- Open your campaign's three-dot menu and choose Manage campaign.
- On the website, find Sharing in the Settings tab. In the app, expand Category & sharing.
- Enter a Distribution name, such as
newsletter,whatsapporevent-poster. - On the website, use Copy link. In the app, use Share named link.
The named link is your campaign link with a source value added, for example framvo.com/campaign/save-the-ocean-2026?source=newsletter. The campaign link itself does not change.
Distribution names are not saved with the campaign. To create the same link later, enter the same name again.
How names are formatted#
Framvo formats the name before adding it to the link:
- Spaces at the start and end are removed.
- Letters are changed to lowercase.
- Each character other than a letter, number, hyphen or underscore becomes a hyphen.
- Names are limited to 40 characters.
For example, Event Poster becomes event-poster. Because of this formatting, Newsletter and newsletter produce the same link and are counted together. Check the link shown before you share it.
Create a QR code#
The QR code updates to match the link shown. Without a distribution name it opens the plain campaign link; with one, it opens the named link.
- On the website, use Download QR code to save an SVG file.
- In the app, use Share QR code to share a PNG image.
QR codes are generated on your device. The campaign link is not sent to an outside QR code service.
Test the printed or displayed code with a phone camera before you distribute it. Use a separate name for each channel you want to compare, such as one for the poster and one for the newsletter.
See sources in your report#
When someone opens a named link while the campaign is accepting participants, the recorded visit includes its source. Open Results on the website to see Distribution visits by name. Visits without a valid source are grouped as direct, so avoid using direct as a distribution name. The report lists up to 20 sources with the most visits in the selected period. CSV exports from the website and the app include the same source table.
Sources are reported for visits only. A source count is a number of recorded visits, not unique people; one person opening the link twice can be counted twice. Links copied without the source part, or edited so the value is invalid, are counted as direct.
Read campaign reports for every report measure and its limits.
